Are you nomadic? Do you use a portable screen? Do you do the sightseeing during the day and work in the evening or vice versa? I spent 2 months in Europe this year. Later this year I will go to south America for a while. Every year I spent about 3 months abroad.i have been doing this since 2005. It is the only way for me to stay sane. We have a kid, so once she hits school age, we are limited to peak season :(

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

Yes - nomadic like my ancestors who wanted to diversify the genetic pool 😉 I have 2 laptops - one for work, one for personal - both the small MacBook pros. Sightseeing times vary based on region. Day work and night travel is on the other side of the Atlantic. In Mexico, I traveled early morning and during the day when I had 2-3 hour breaks around lunch or so, another option was starting the day late around 11 PT after I finished the day travels earlier in the morning. Good luck with your travels in LATAM.

why u need 2nd laptop, why not just use work laptop for all

It is awesome. I am really jealous of you! I wish I had time to do it.

Good luck - every journey begins with the first step. Thanks much :)

Congratulations on living a worthwhile life

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

It's the life in my years, not the years in my life - my philosophy :) thanks much :)

6k seems very low. How did you manage to travel to so many places at such low cost ?

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

It was covid - not many tourists. So great hotels at cheap prices. Domestic Mexico flights are dirt cheap by USD standards.

Salesforce Dixi76 Jul 2, 2022

6k is expensive though. You can get ok quality for about 1k-2k/month in most of the world. Cheapest I did was 400/month in Ukraine, Moldova, etc. about 10 years ago.

Was it pleasure trip only or you worked from there?

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

Work + pleasure

Is Mexico safe?

Salesforce Dixi76 Jul 2, 2022

Is USA safe? Depends on where you are ;)

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

Yeah - I went to Los Mochis in Sinaloa where the cartels are active - it was fine. They don't harm tourists as far as possible - as long as tourists don't do something stupid.

Salesforce Dixi76 Jul 2, 2022

Did you hit all continents? Did you sleep with girls/boys from all.continents? How many countries have you visited so far?

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

26 countries. 3 continents done, 2 pending. Target is 5 countries or so every year

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

Slept with women from 3 continents. Not sure how to meet the qualifier for a woman from Antarctica - since penguins are not on my list - would an ice station researcher in Antarctica count?

Amazon skfjek Jul 2, 2022

I'm also planning a workstation type trip in coming months to Japan, most probably in October.

Airbnb reacher86 OP Jul 2, 2022

Good luck and have fun!
